There’s a new crime drama coming to Amazon Prime Video’s hit crime drama catalogue: Bambai Meri Jaan.

The streamer teased fans about the underworld crime series on its official account and captioned the post, “The edge of your seat was made for a story like this!”.”

OTT platform did not provide a premiere date; however, a tipster told PinkVilla that the gritty drama will premiere in September 2023.

Based on the turbulent period when underworld mobs dominated the streets of the metropolis, the show stars an ensemble cast, including versatile Kay Kay Menon.

According to reports, the movie is based on a book written by Hussain Zaidi in 2012 called Dongri To Dubai: Six Decades of the Mumbai Mafia. Rensil D’Silva and Shujaat Saudagar created and directed the fast-paced thriller, which is produced by Excel Media and Entertainment’s Ritesh Sidhwani, Kassim Jagmagia, and Farhan Akhtar.

Additionally, informed sources told the outlet that Avinash Tiwary will play notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim, while Menon will play the crime lord’s father, Ibrahim Kaskar, an ex-Crime Branch officer.
