Acting maestro Khalid Butt breathes his last in Lahore.

Khalid Butt’s illustrious career in the entertainment industry started in the 1970s and spanned over five decades during the course of his impressive career.

Acting maestro Khalid Butt finally breathed his last on Thursday in Lahore after a prolonged illness that took its toll on him. There was a problem with his liver and kidneys, which he had been suffering from for quite some time.

There is no doubt that Butt, who has graced the TV screens of the country for decades, has worked in Entertainment’s currently running drama serial Khaie, which airs on the channel. Aside from performing in numerous films, he would also make appearances on TV in a few dramas, but this would be his last.

According to family sources, the actor’s funeral prayer will take place on Friday after the Asr prayer, according to sources.

It is believed that the ace actor began his career in the 1970s and honed his skills as a skilled actor through the role of serious and comedic characters in different Urdu and Punjabi language movies as well as television shows.

Additionally, Butt was also honored by the government with the Prize of Performance Award in recognition of his contributions to the entertainment industry.

In his illustrious career, he was known for his performances in a number of famous drama serials, including Teesra Kinara, Neelay Hath, and Boota From Toba Tek Singh.

Aside from displaying his talents as an actor, the acclaimed artist also ventured into the direction of films.

The widow of Butt as well as two sons and two daughters survive him.

It was Butt’s fellow actor Sohail Ahmed who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and prayed for a higher rank for the deceased actor.
