Pakistan, Qatar to continue broadening their bilateral ties: PM

In an address on Wednesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif hoped that Pakistan and Qatar would continue to broaden and deepen their bilateral relationship, particularly in trade and investment.

A press release from the PM Office Media Wing said that Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani made a farewell call to the prime minister at the PM Office.

The prime minister expressed his appreciation for ambassador Thani’s sterling contribution to further strengthening the fraternal ties between the two countries.
As a manifestation of Qatar’s interest in investing in various sectors of Pakistan’s economy, the prime minister highlighted the visit of a delegation from the Qatar Investment Authority.

High-level interactions between the two countries and cooperation in the fields of food security, energy, IT, mining, and defence have increased.

Ambassador Al-Thani was wished success in his future assignments by the prime minister. Ambassador Al-Thani appreciated the hospitality and warmth of the government and people of Pakistan, which made his stay in Pakistan memorable.

Ambassador Thani will leave Pakistan this month after completing his diplomatic assignment in Pakistan during COVID 19.

Qatar’s interest in investing in various sectors of Pakistan’s economy was highlighted by the prime minister during his recent visit by a delegation from Qatar Investment Authority.

High-level interactions between the two countries and cooperation in the fields of food security, energy, IT, mining, and defence have increased.

It was the prime minister’s wish for ambassador Al-Thani that he would succeed in his future assignments. A memorable stay in Pakistan was made possible by the hospitality and warmth of the government and people of Pakistan, which was appreciated by Ambassador Al-Thani.

Having arrived in Pakistan in 2020 during the COVID 19 pandemic, Ambassador Thani will leave Pakistan this month after completing his diplomatic assignment.
