Just over a week ago, Rashford was criticised by Erik ten Hag for going out to celebrate his birthday hours after losing 3-0 to Manchester City.

Ten Hag confirmed the striker’s absence on Saturday was an injury.

Rashford urged people to STOP spreading malicious rumours.

In response to The United Stand account, a Manchester United fan channel, the 26-year-old posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

As part of their latest podcast, The United Stand teased: “Rashford’s future in doubt? WE’RE LIVE!”

In the days following City’s match, the England forward was on the bench for Newcastle’s 3-0 Carabao Cup loss.

In all competitions, Rashford scored 30 goals for Manchester United last season, but has failed to match those numbers this season with just one goal.

After successive league and Carabao Cup defeats, Manchester United bounced back with a last-gasp win over Fulham on Saturday.
