Kayleigh Green has signed a one-year contract with Charlton Athletic Women in the Women’s Championship.

As a Women’s Super League player, she made 110 appearances for Brighton and Hove Albion last season.

Since making her debut in 2012, Green has played 70 times for Wales, scoring 17 goals.

Green said the girls have been welcoming from the moment she walked in.

“I feel like I’ve fit in right away, which is great.”.

As a hard-working player, I’ll always show that in training sessions and in games.”

Green was hailed as a “fantastic signing” by Charlton coach Karen Hills.

Kayleigh’s experience and leadership qualities will make the difference this season, she said. She has known her from afar for a few seasons now.

On 27 August, Charlton will begin their Championship season at home against Sheffield United.
