In combination with strong mechanics, an aeroplane can produce huge amounts of power, as reported by NDTV. 

The enormous power of jet engines was shown in a viral social media video.

“Callum Hodgson” posted the video on his Twitter account, showing about 20 to 30 people standing idly next to an aeroplane as it cruises along the runway edge.

“Here’s a preview of what happens when people underestimate the power of aircraft engines!” wrote the caption.

While some people struggled to keep their balance as the plane took off, others fell to the ground due to a strong air current.

The length of the runway, the departure procedure, as well as the type of aircraft may also influence the outcome. It is possible for the jet blast effect to become more pronounced during high-performance takeoffs and when heavy-calibre aircraft take off.
