Punjab announces Eidul Azha holidays
ARY News reported that the Punjab government declared holidays for Eidul Azha from June 28 to July 1.
There has also been a notification issued in this regard.
In accordance with the notification, offices operating on a 5-day workweek will observe Eid holidays from June 28 to June 30.
Additionally, offices with a 6-day workweek will have holidays from June 28 through July 1. With this arrangement, employees who work longer hours are able to enjoy the celebrations and participate in religious activities.
A one-day extension of the Eidul Azha holidays was announced by the federal government yesterday. Eidul Azha holidays will be observed on June 28, Wednesday, according to a notification issued by the federal government.
On June 20, the federal government announced three-day Eid holidays, starting June 29, Thursday, and ending July 1, Saturday.
Eidul Azha will fall on June 29 (Thursday) following the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon in Pakistan on June 19.
On June 26, Pakistan Railways will run three special trains on Eidul Azha, with the first train departing Quetta for Peshawar at 10 a.m.
As part of its Eidul Adha holiday promotion, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced a reduction of ten percent in fares for domestic flights.
