Paris Hilton opens up about why she opted for surrogacy.

The star of Paris In Love opened up about her decision to use surrogacy to expand her family with husband Carter Reum.

Having recently welcomed her daughter, London, months after welcoming her son, Phoenix, in January, she said, “Surrogacy was a difficult decision to make.”

During the premiere episode of her show, Hilton explained why she chose surrogacy despite having a desire to give birth herself.

In her words, “I would have loved that experience of growing a baby in your tummy and feeling the kicks and all of those exciting moments, but my life has been so public.”

Hilton explained, “Even though the baby is biologically mine and Carter’s, we decided to have a surrogate carry him.”

“Now that we have a family with Paris, we want our family to grow up and be normal, not always known as Paris Hilton’s kids,” Reum said during a confessional.

As he explained, “We must ensure Paris’ safety. It’s one thing for someone to ask Paris for a photo at the farmer’s market. It’s another when Paris is in a stroller.”

“We don’t know what the journey will throw at us, but we’ll deal with it as we go.”

In an interview with People Magazine, Hilton expressed that she and her husband are “grateful” that they have been blessed with this daughter and she expressed how thankful she and her husband are.

“I’m just over the moon with joy that our little princess is here,” she said with a big smile on her face. “My life just feels so complete now that I have my little boy, and now that I have my little girl.
