Nunes, who has made it clear he wants to join Pep Guardiola’s side, is thought to be seeking in excess of £60m from Wolves.

Last summer, the Midlands club paid Sporting Lisbon a club-record £38m for the player.

In the second half of last season, Nunes was instrumental in Wolves avoiding relegation, finishing 13th.
