During her run on Broadway’s “A Doll’s House,” Jessica Chastain had a “gross” moment when she had to kiss her costar after becoming ill.

The “It” actress told Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes on Tuesday’s episode of the “Smartless” podcast, “We’re closed.”

In response to their question about her worst moment during the production, which ran from March until June, she said, “This is really gross.” During the performance, she threw up and swallowed it. No one noticed!

I leaned over and it happened. I had to kiss someone! It was a nightmare and I couldn’t explain what happened.” she said.

In spite of the kiss being “sensual,” she said it was “definitely a closed mouth kiss” that night.

Until the end of the evening, the 46-year-old actress, who played the lead in a Tony-nominated show, said she couldn’t explain what happened.

When the curtain came down, I said, ‘You guys, I’m so sorry, I vomited.'”

It is not the first time that Chastain has apologized for a bodily function mishap while on stage.

As recently as last month, Joe Jonas admitted he once pooped himself during a show, Ed Sheeran admitted he did the same thing in 2015, and Hugh Jackson revealed he “pi—d” himself as Gaston in the 1995 Broadway production of “Beauty and the Beast.”

March saw Chastain’s revival of “A Doll’s House,” an 18th century play about a woman in a suffocating marriage.

Performing her last show in June, the actress played Nora Helmer in the setless and propless reinvention of the well-known play.
