Last season, Overton took 34 wickets as Surrey won the County Championship.

In three Division One appearances this season, the 27-year-old has taken 11 wickets. His only Test appearance came against New Zealand last June.

At the Kia Oval, fast bowler Matt Dunn and wicketkeeper Josh Blake have also signed new contracts.

Having made his first-class debut in 2010, Dunn has taken 117 wickets since coming through Surrey’s academy system.

The 24-year-old made his T20 debut this summer after signing his first professional contract last year. He also played in the 2023 One-Day Cup.
