Brydon Carse replaces John Turner in men’s T20 squad

Taking the place of the injured John Turner, Brydon Carse has been called into England’s T20 squad for their series against New Zealand.
Hampshire seamer Turner, 22, has been ruled out of The Hundred after suffering a side injury while competing with Trent Rockets.
Carse, 28, has played nine ODIs for England, but not a single T20.
On 31 August, the four-match series begins at Chester-Le-Street.
Turner initially impressed selectors with his 21 wickets in the T20 Blast (at an average of 11.76 and an economy of 6.67) – the most of anyone who had bowled more than 10 overs.
On his debut for Trent Rockets earlier this month, he took 1-22 from 20 balls and showed composure at the end to claim the wicket of Jonny Bairstow.
In this edition of The Hundred, Carse, who has taken 35 wickets in 72 domestic T20 matches, has played all but one match for the Northern Superchargers despite injuries over the last 12 months.
