Apple to update iPhone 12 in France over radiation

As a result of radiation fears, Apple will update its iPhone 12 in France, according to the country’s digital minister.
In the next few days, Apple will update its software for users in the country, according to Jean-Noel Barrot.
In France, sales of iPhone 12 were halted after a regulator detected too much electromagnetic radiation. It was ordered that Apple fix the problem.
Currently, the new update will only be available to users in France, where there is a specific testing protocol.
According to the American tech giant, the radiation results were the result of that testing regime, and they are “not a safety concern”.
Other countries may be concerned about Apple’s plans for iPhone 12, which was released just three years ago.
ARF (Radio Frequency Regulator) will test the new update before allowing iPhone 12 to resume sales in the country, Mr Barrot said.
In the past, the World Health Organization has tried to allay fears about mobile phone radiation.
Humans are not harmed by exposure to low level electromagnetic fields, the organization states on its website.
Despite complying with emission rules worldwide, Apple will “issue a software update for French users to accommodate the protocol used by French regulators”.
