Jeremy Doku is close to joining Manchester City for £55.4m, but what type of player will he be?

After three injury-plagued seasons in France, the 21-year-old, who has 16 caps for Belgium, will move to the Premier League this season.

His replacement is Riyad Mahrez, who moved to Saudi club Al-Ahli for £30m.

In Europe’s top five leagues, he has completed more dribbles per 90 minutes than anyone else.

According to Belgian journalist Claudo Reulens, his speed, power, and technical ability make him perfect for the Premier League.

“Fans will love him because he is a spectacular player. There is always something going on when he is on the ball.” Doku can play on either wing, but he is most likely to play on the right side, where Mahrez spent most of last season.

With Kevin de Bruyne currently injured, Jack Grealish will play left wing – and Phil Foden will play centrally.

As with Foden, Bernardo Silva can play centrally or out wide. Julian Alvarez can also play on the wings, although most of his games have been played in the middle.

Because of injury problems, Doku played fewer minutes than any of them last season – 13 Ligue 1 starts and 16 bench appearances.

On the opening day of this season, he scored against Metz.
