Reynolds shared a clip from 2009’s “The Proposal” in which the two actors accidentally run into each other’s arms while naked. A nude scene was Bullock’s first ever, and she later admitted she only agreed because it was “humiliating and funny.”

On Instagram, Reynolds joked, “Happy Birthday to the inimitable and stunning Sandra Bullock! I made us both intimacy coordinators for your birthday this year.” “And an HR department. And clothes?” she asked.

The actress recalled feeling safe with Reynolds while filming the scene.

“I’ve known Ryan since we were prepubescent. We’ve been friends for a long time,” she said during an episode of the “About Last Night Podcast with Adam Ray” in 2021. This was the day we had to do the naked scene, and our director, Anne Fletcher, is amazing.

“We had a closed set, which means no one was allowed on it except for hair and makeup,” Bullock recalled. Ryan and I both have flesh-colored things stuck to our private parts, my hair strategically covers Ryan’s nipples, and I don’t know what it is because I didn’t look at it. I didn’t see it.”

In spite of the fact that both actors had their privates covered for the scene, Bullock recalled a moment where things didn’t go smoothly.

“When they said cut, we couldn’t really move,” she explained. It was he on his back with his knees up, and I was on the floor, just sort of resting on his knees, just waiting, and you don’t want to see, and we couldn’t really move.”

A little later, I hear Anne Fletcher say, “Ryan, we can see your ballsack!” I’m like, “Oh God!” Because you want to look down, but I say, “Don’t look down. Don’t look down.” “… Everyone in the darkness turned around to see if there was a monitor.” “… I was thinking Anne, maybe you can present that information differently.”

As long as she could “be humiliated and funny,” the “Miss Congeniality” star agreed to be naked in the scene.

Neither in real life nor on screen, Bullock will attempt to be sexy naked. It’s just not worth it.” she said. Because of this, I knew that I was in the presence of safety with someone I trusted comedically.”
