Jamie Foxx has friends in high places.

Foxx, 55, broke his silence on Instagram Friday after publicly admitting he went to “hell and back” following a “medical complication.”

After thanking fans for their prayers, he said, “I cannot even begin to describe how far it has taken me and how it has brought me back.”. He added, “I went through something I thought I would never, ever go through. I know a lot of people were waiting, or wanting to hear updates, and I didn’t want you to see me in that way.”.

There were numerous Hollywood stars who left comments supporting Foxx on his path to recovery, including Will Smith, The Rock, and Reese Witherspoon.

Foxx’s Instagram reel received more than one million likes in less than 15 hours after it was posted online, thanks to Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock.

His sister Deidra Dixon and daughter Corinne Foxx saved his life, Foxx said.

It feels fantastic to have your family come to the rescue in such a way. Ya’ll know it was airtight. They didn’t let anything out. They protected me, and that’s what I hope everyone can experience when times like these arise.”

According to Eddie Griffin, “Respect you and your family for keeping it quiet. Healing is a quiet process.”

The “In Living Color” star was also supported by Alex Rodriguez and Michael Strahan.
