Irsa releases 314,700 cusecs water

On Sunday, the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) released 314,700 cusecs of water from various rim stations, with an inflow of 478,300 cusecs. Using data released by IRSA, the water level in River Indus at Tarbela Dam was 1475.13 feet, 77.13 feet higher than its dead level of 1,398 feet. The dam’s water inflow and outflow were measured at 250,000 cusecs and 149,900 cusecs, respectively. A water level of 1164.05 feet was recorded at Mangla Dam, which was 114.05 feet above the dead level of 1,050 feet. A total of 73,500 cusecs of water was pumped in and 10,000 cusecs was pumped out. Water was released at Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu, and Sukkur at 189,600, 146,600, 82,500, and 32,000 cusecs, respectively. Water was released at Nowshera from River Kabul and at Marala from River Chenab totaling 71,200 cusecs.
