As Scotland were all out for 91 off 18.4 overs, Darcey Carter made 45 off 55 balls.

Each of Alana Dalzell, Cara Murray, and Laura Delany took two wickets.

With 21 balls to spare, Ireland reached 92-3 with Gaby Lewis hitting an unbeaten 53.

She accumulated her total off 51 balls in Almeria, Spain, as she smashed seven fours.

Olivia Bell claimed the wicket of Orla Prendergast for one in the fifth over to leave Ireland 29-2 after Amy Hunter was out for 10.

Ireland got back on track with a third-wicket partnership of 62 between Lewis and captain Delany, who fell to Priyanaz Chatterji after contributing 25 off 28 balls.

The only other Scottish batter to reach double figures was Megan McColl with 19.

With two wins in three ODIs, Ireland has an unassailable lead of 3-1 in the five-match series. On Tuesday, the second and final T20 game will be played at the same venue.
