Elon Musk has confirmed he will stream the possible showdown between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk on X, formerly Twitter.

Sunday morning, the platform’s owner tweeted that he was “lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight,” adding “all proceeds will go to veterans’ charities.”

There have been no further details about the fight provided by Musk.

A cage fight appeared to be agreed upon by the two Big Tech billionaires in June. Zuckerberg’s Meta launched a Twitter competitor called Threads last month, raising the stakes for the potential fight.

Facebook’s CEO responded to Musk via Threads on Sunday afternoon, “Shouldn’t we use a platform that can raise money for charity? ”

According to him, he is ready for today. When (Musk) first challenged, I suggested Aug 26, but he hasn’t confirmed. I’m not holding my breath.”

Following Musk’s takeover of Twitter in October 2022, many users have suffered whiplash due to policy pivots, technical issues, and the platform’s stance on harassment and hate speech. When Threads was released, some viewed it as a viable alternative that might unseat its rival, and the app was tremendously successful. Threads was even the subject of a lawsuit by a lawyer representing Twitter.
