Burger King locations could soon look like this

Over the past few years, Burger King has redesigned everything from its logo to its packaging in an effort to revitalize its brand. Remodeling restaurants is the next step.

Tom Curtis, president of Burger King US & Canada, said customers will begin to notice something different in 2024.

Curtis revealed the new restaurant design called “Sizzle” last week at the company’s franchisee convention after working on it for over a year.

At the moment, two Burger King restaurants have been remodeled with the Sizzle decor: one in New Jersey and one in Las Vegas. It is anticipated that another location will open in North Carolina by the end of the month. New restaurants are expected to open next year with updated menus.

An investment plan of $400 million was announced by Burger King last year, including $250 million for remodeling and other restaurant improvements.

Facelift is long overdue: Burger King has been lagging behind its competitors in updating its brand. Renovations have been slow over the years, but the decor has been updated over time.

It planned some prototypes for 2020 and showcased new design features, including triple drive-thrus. Three years later, restaurants still need a facelift.

The second quarter sales at Burger King’s US restaurants open at least 13 months jumped 8.3% year over year. Across the globe, including the US, Burger King restaurants that have been open at least one year grew 10.2% in sales.
